A multiple award winning production company that seeks to tell stories about people not often portrayed in mainstream media. Our last film, ‘Irish Goodbye’ about a Syrian refugee, won the Platinum Award, Best LGBT short film and Best short film Award at the Independent Shorts Awards, Top Indie Shorts Awards and Veterans Film festival respectively. The film is also a finalist at the 2019 American Pavilion Emerging Filmmaker showcase at the Cannes Film Festival.
With offices in Sierra Leone and Los Angeles, Loma Mansa Productions is the brainchild of Award winning Actor and Director Adetokumboh M’Cormack. Born in Sierra Leone and having grown up mostly in Kenya, M’Cormack had an international perspective and a glimpse into an every day life that is seldom portrayed in the media. Wanting to tell stories that would make a difference and reflect the culture to which he was accustomed, M'Cormack set about writing, directing and producing. His films portray characters and stories that recreate the narrative of people who are underrepresented in film and television, turning away from the same negative stereotypes that we typically see. This can be seen in his award winning music video October 96, his web series ‘Me + 1’, his short films ‘A Kiss at Midnight’, ‘Irish Goodbye’ and his upcoming film ‘The German King’ and his African superhero animated series ‘Aquila’.
Loma Mansa Productions next project is the epic short film The German King. Set in 1914 at the start of World War 1, the film follows King Rudolf Douala Manga Bell as he leads his people to rebel against oppressive German colonial rule. A feature film version of the film is currently in development with a shoot date set for Winter of 2020.
